With the 27th pick of the 2013 draft, the Houston Texans selected DeAndre Johnson, WR from Clemson with their first choice.

Hopkins is a good fit for the Houston Texans offensive scheme that focuses itself around WR Andre Johnson and RB Arian Foster. The Texans lack of a second receiver for Johnson left him vulnerable to constant double teams by opposing defenses. Hopkins is explosive off the line, but he needs to improve against press coverage to create the open space between him and his defenders.

Hopkins is also an excellent run blocker so his strength and nastiness adds to an already superb Texan running attack, so this is a good choice for the team in the first round.
