Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez In Big Trouble More Than One Could Imagine
The alleged illicit activities of New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez are continuing and intensifying.
According to ABC News, Aaron Hernandez has destroyed his personal home surveillance and security system in the wake of questioning by police about the possible homicide of one of Hernandez’s friends, semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd.
Lloyd’s apparent murder has drawn a lot of attention to Hernandez, who is already facing a lawsuit brought by a Connecticut man, Alexander Bradley, in the wake of a shooting incident outside a Miami nightclub in February
Hernandez having problems with drugs is not new news. Several teams had misgivings about Hernandez going into the 2010 draft due to Hernandez having failed several drug tests in college and having an admitted problem with chronic marijuana use. It has been widely speculated that the murder of Odin Lloyd may have been as the result of a drug dispute, though investigation into the matter is still ongoing.
Hernandez has not been ruled out as a suspect in Lloyd’s murder, and there is speculation that his arrest is imminent with some people comparing the coverage of Hernandez around the Boston area today as “O.J.-like,” though it has mostly been members of the media following Hernandez, a stark contrast to the iconic low-speed chase that occurred in Los Angeles nineteen years ago yesterday.
The Hernandez story is still developing. We will bring you more information as it comes here at NFL Draft Insiders.
