Patriot Being Questioned With Link To A Murder
New England Patriots tight-end Aaron Hernandez is being questioned in connection with a homicide in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. A Chevy Suburban rental with Rhode Island plates was registered under Hernandez’s name and is believed to be connected to the murder. The victim is an unidentified twenty-seven year old male, whose body was found in an industrial park near Hernandez’s home. He is said to be an ‘associate’ of the NFL star. Police said originally that Hernandez had been “uncooperative” with the investigators and they were in the process of obtaining a warrant to search his home for evidence.
Later in the evening Adam Schefter on Twitter indicated that he's not involved it's just lots of questioning.
There was a buzz about Aaron Hernandez in Patriots' building all day. Belief is, he's not involved. But lots of questions.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) June 18, 2013
A fourth-round pick in the 2010 draft, Hernandez was named to the Pro Bowl in his second season. Last season he caught 51 passes and scored five touchdowns for the Patriots.
