With the NFL Draft fast approaching, the five previous surgeries regarding former Alabama cornerback Dee Milliner has become the topic of debate for teams this week.
Milliner’s operations included a right knee scope, a repair of a sports hernia, a procedure for a right tibia fracture, and one surgery on each shoulder. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Milliner is currently rehabbing his most recent shoulder surgery and may not be ready for training camp.
Despite many teams concerns about his injuries and durability, Milliner’s only missed one game in the last three years due to a minor hip injury which Alabama’s coach Nick Saban said that he could have played if they needed him. Although Milliner’s past injuries are a cause of worry for teams, his history says he will be on the field on game day come the fall of 2013.
