The highly-anticipated 2012 NFL Scouting Combine kicks into full swing this month on February 22.

The annual event hosted in Indianapolis will deliver even more excitement this year to 250 lucky fans, who will be given the opportunity to watch the nation’s top draft prospects like Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III in person as they work out for scouts inside Lucas Oil Stadium, the Indianapolis Star reported.

Shifting the milieu of what was once mostly an off-limits soiree, the Combine is just the latest event the NFL has chosen to open to the public, following the madness of Media Day and Radio Row during Super Bowl week.

If you’re interested in becoming one of the hand-picked 250 fans to attend, register at 1iota.com.  Those selected will be allowed to observe and examine the quarterbacks and wide receivers display their talents and try to raise their stock on February 26.

“The NFL is looking for real, die-hard fans to be a part of this exclusive first-time-ever opportunity,” according to the site.  ”This is a casted event so we are requiring you to upload a photo and recommend that you include a short essay … as to why you should (be) one of the lucky 250 NFL Insiders selected to attend the 2012 NFL Scouting Combine.”

If you don’t have the best looks, fear not—the NFL isn’t aiming to field a crowd of 250 hotties.  The photos are used to prevent tickets from landing the wrong hands, where the person who applies for admission is the same one that shows up for the event.
