Dallas Thomas, who will be playing left tackle this season, has signed a four-year contract with the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins third-round pick has signed his rookie contract worth $2.8 million with a signing bonus of around $600,000.
Thomas who is 6'5” and 306 pounds has been recovering from shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder. He has been rehabbing since April but has participated in OTAs and should be completely healthy and ready to go for training camp in July.
The Dolphins were unsure whether or not Thomas would play at guard or tackle because he played both positions at Tennessee. However, they thought left tackle would be more fitting for the rookie. Thomas was the first of the Dolphins third round picks at 76th overall. The second selection of the third round was Will Davis who was 93rd overall. The cornerback was drafted out of Utah State.
