The Eagles have now signed five of their draft picks before rookie minicamp begins. Those signed include second-round pick Zach Ertz, fifth-round pick Earl Wolff and their seventh-round picks: Joe Kruger, Jordan Poyer and David King
Ertz signed a four-year deal worth about $5 million that includes a $2.28 million signing bonus. Due to the newly implemented NFL rookie pay scale, Ertz was left with little negotiating room on his contract and signed for about the same amount as last year’s 35th overall selection.
Ertz will be attending the rookie minicamp but will have to leave before the veterans arrive for OTAs until his college class graduates.
Those yet to be signed by the Eagles are Lane Johnson, Bennie Logan, and Matt Barkley, but all three are expected to sign in the upcoming days.
All eight rookies have also been assigned their numbers for the upcoming season.
OT Lane Johnson - 65
DT Bennie Logan - 96
QB Matt Barkley - 2
S Earl Wolf - 28
DE Joe Kruger - 73
CB Jordan Poyer - 33
DE David King - 78
