Eagles Coach Chip Kelly Creates QB Competition Heading into Camp
If you don’t believe in yourself, who will? This seems to be the approach Philadelphia Eagles quarterbacks Nick Foles and Matt Barkley have, going into camp and preseason.
In order for either of them to start week one, both have to beat out incumbent starter Michael Vick. New head coach Chip Kelly is not yet willing to name a starter for week one, but is permitting all three to equally battle for the starting position during camp.
Foles and Barkley, are both young and talented and seem eager to fight for that title plus each of them feel they have a legitimate shot to compete for the Eagles starting quarterback position;
Ultimately, the decision of the starting quarterback will be up to Kelly, but don’t think for a minute that Vick is willing to give up his title that easily. The quarterback battle at Eagles camp will be interesting to watch and take note of leading up to week one of the 2013 NFL season.
