According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, Jones isn’t the only member of the team's defense on pace to reach unrestricted free agency for the Miami Dolphins that hasn't received any significant contract offers. Two defensive line members are in the same spot.
Defensive tackle Randy Starks hasn’t received an offer since the beginning of the offseason when he was given the franchise tag. According to Jackson, Starks has a “good attitude” heading into training camp even though the multi-year contract offer was short of what he truly wanted with the Dolphins.
Paul is another defensive tackle in the last year of his two-year deal, but the team has not contacted him about 2014 and beyond. The Dolphins have nothing holding them back from making a contract extension for the next couple years, but they both turn 30 years old in December.
