The Indianapolis Colts sign running back Ahmad Bradshaw formerly of the New York Giants, to a one-year deal worth $1.1 million.

The contract contains a $250,000 signing bonus , and a large per-game roster bonus.

This is all provided that Bradshaw keeps his injury-prone feet healthy. It’s a strong signing for the Colts, who have perhaps the league’s worst stability as far as running backs go in the NFL the past few seasons.

It’s now comes as no surprise that either Donald Brown or Delon Carter will be released or traded before the final roster cuts.

A completely healthy Bradshaw can contribute enormously especially on third downs, execute near the goal-line and be a solid rush and pass protector. Bradshaw is not however, built to be an every-down back, but could easily get the most snaps from Andrew Luck during the regular season.
