Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez has been formally charged by the Bristol County, Massachusetts District Attorney’s Office with the murder of Odin Lloyd.

After over a week of speculation that Hernandez may have been involved, that there may have been drugs involve, evidence of Hernandez and Odin being together with two other men in the hours leading up to Odin’s death, evidence that Hernandez destroyed his cell phone and home security system and a search warrant that resulted in several items being removed from Hernandez’s home and a search of a nearby pond, police took the embattled tight-end into custody this morning.

Many speculated that Hernandez may be charged with Obstruction of Justice.  The destruction of his home security system and evidence that a cleaning crew had cleaned his entire house thoroughly just before police launched their investigation made it unclear what, if any evidence could be found to implicate Hernandez or any other suspects’ involvements in Odin’s death.

Details as to any other charges Hernandez may be facing, whether or not any other suspects are involved,

In seven hours of his arrest he lost his job with the Pats and was booked on 1st degree murder in arraignment court and five counts of gun related chargers in arraignment court and he is being transported to jail on no bail till his court date set.

Again it's now confirmed by several news sources that Aaron Hernandez has been released by the New England Patriots and will face murder charges.  More information will be given as it becomes available
