On Wednesday, Charles Woodson received a deal he like enough to avoid retirement for one more year.  Woodson agreed to a one year deal with the Oakland Raiders.  This will be his tenth year in Oakland and 17th year overall in the NFL.  Last year Woodson started all 16 games for the Raiders and was able to produce to the tune of 97 tackles, two sacks, three passes defended, one interception, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

Woodson is a veteran presence that will be needed for the 2014 Oakland Raiders locker room.  He also is a long time Raider that has pride in the organization and wants to be suited in Silver and Black.  For a franchise that is having troubles bringing key players to play in the bay area, having Woodson for one more year is invaluable.  Luckily for Oakland, he can still play at a high and will be more than just a figurehead.  Woodson is loved by fellow players and fans alike, and is probably a Hall of Famer once he does end his career.
