Former Auburn Tiger Dee Ford is one of the most polished defensive linemen in the 2014 NFL Draft. Ford holds his own and is quite the intimidating presence on the defensive line.

At 6-foot-2, and 243 pounds, Ford causes havoc off of the edge.

After having a disappointing first three years, Ford emerged in his senior season. He finished the regular season with 12.5 tackles for loss, including 8.5 sack earning first-team All-SEC honors from the league's coaches and the Associated Press.
The biggest strength that Ford noticeably possesses is his that he is a fluid athlete with impressive burst, agility and underrated strength. Scouts say he accelerates smoothly and is flexible enough to pass rush effectively from the outside. Ford has the ability to occasionally drop back into coverage, giving scouts evidence that he'll be able to handle coverage duties.

Ford is a bit undersized as a defensive lineman off the edge for the NFL and he may also have trouble adjusting to the much bigger offensive linemen at the next level. But Ford's balance and efficient change-of-direction skills make him one to watch as a linebacker convert as well coming into the NFL. Some scouts compare him to current Baltimore Ravens linebacker/defensive end Elvis Dumervil.

Look for him to make the switch to linebacker in the NFL. Teams like the New Orleans Saints may look to select him late into the first round where he is likely to be drafted. Simply put he is a pass rusher and he will get through the line of scrimmage at a consistent rate.

As the draft approaches us Dee Ford will be a name to remember on draft day and hopefully for years to come as he begins his professional career in football. and when he gets comfortable and finds his place in the NFL he will record a ton of sacks.
